However, from the moment we stepped into Charlie’s home, I knew we had made the right decision to book a European city break. You are immediately greeted by a petite table adorned with Parisienne baked goods, overlooking what has to be the best view in Paris. Objets d'art dot the space, while books on Chanel and Jean Cocteau line the shelves. Various chandeliers hang from the ceiling, making it feel like you’ve just entered a 19th-century salon. The kitchen is petite but has everything you could need – and lest I forget, the fridge and pantry are equipped with specially chosen bottles of wine.
